The Easter Bunny managed to find his way to our house again this year!
The littles loved finding eggs everywhere… especially once they learned they were filled with candy! No need to waste time filling baskets at our house… candy was being consumed at lightning speed.
Thanks to Max & Ruby, they were expecting the Easter Bunny to bring chocolate CHICKENS (?) vs. bunnies. Fortunately Peeps got the memo on that this year too. (I have to admit, the milk chocolate Peeps dipped in chocolate are pretty darn good!)
Of course, the Easter Bunny neglected to watch the weather forecast. He brought the littles bubble guns (REGULAR bubbles, certainly NOT THE COLORED ONES… remember THIS???), sidewalk chalk, and sailboats. Yes, those were my children standing out on the back patio in frigid (for California) temperatures, in their PJs, squealing and blowing bubbles. N&E scored some new Nerf guns, which are the current hot item among all of the boys in the neighborhood. And of course, it wouldn’t be Easter without a boatload of CANDY.
Late that afternoon, I took advantage of the holiday to do my grocery shopping to avoid the crowds. This is what I came home to find…
Nothing like a good sugar crash!!!
