I can’t believe how fast our week went by! Unfortunately it was time for us to say goodbye to our Texas friends. We had a few hours to play on Monday morning before making our way to the airport. We had planned to make one more quick outing to the beach. Would you believe that the kids actually chose the pool this time? I couldn’t believe it! I let Kerri take the big kids down to the pool and I stayed home with the littles. I haven’t taken the trio to the pool yet, and I didn’t think this was the best time to see how they would do. There’s a baby pool for them, but it’s not fenced off separately from the big pool, and I only have two arms.
Before we knew it, it was time to bid farewell. Boo! We loaded up our bus one last time and headed to the airport. I have to admit, I found myself a bit sad sending them off. We absolutely LOVE living here in Cali, and honestly I think you would have to drag me kicking and screaming out of here. However, it is a bit lonely being out here without our friends and family. Hopefully we didn’t scare them so badly that they won’t want to come back, haha!
On a separate note, I have been just terrible at updating this blog lately!!! I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to round out the staycation posts. However, my big boys are back in school now, as of last Wednesday (2nd & 5th graders!), so we will be getting back into the swing of things here quickly. Grandma is coming to visit us TODAY and will be here for 2 weeks. She hasn’t seen the littles since last Halloween, and I can’t wait to see her reaction to how much they’ve grown. I still have not replaced my camera since it was ‘thrown’, but I see that coming in the very near future. I’m going through withdrawal!
Gotta run to get grandma’s room ready!
