The House of Pannek

Matt’s Hidden Message…

May 31, 2011 by Michelle 1 Comment

This morning Matt offered (under slight duress…) to watch the littles while I took a quick shower.  When I came back downstairs, Aidan was wearing only his underwear, Liam had no shirt on, and Luke was still fully clothed… still in pjs, but fully clothed, regardless.

I grabbed 3 shirts & shorts from my laundry pile.  I pulled a shirt over Aidan’s head, put his shorts on, and moved on to Liam.  Once Liam was dressed, I turned to dress Luke.  Luke promptly told me “I wait, mama”.  (Luke is very opinionated and tells me he will “wait” several times a day, here lately.)

Matt was still standing in the kitchen, and he made a weird remark… something along the lines of ‘What, Luke?  You don’t want to change your clothes right NOW?”  I found it a bit odd, as he could usually care less what the boys have on while hanging out at home.  I didn’t think much of it, and went on about my business, while Matt went back upstairs to work.

A few minutes later Luke came over to me and was pulling on his pj pants.  He was trying to tell me something… I just couldn’t fully understand what it was that he was saying.  I thought he was telling me that he didn’t want something on his pants???  I figured I’d take advantage of the situation no matter what, and finally get him dressed for the day.

Once I took off his pj bottoms, look what I found…

That husband of mine is some comedian, huh?

I can’t help but sense that there’s a hidden message in this.  I don’t think he was feeling any remorse about using one of Liam’s overnight diapers on Luke… do you?  I mean, seriously… do I seem like the type that would actually give my husband a hard time about using the wrong diaper?

Not sweet, innocent, little ole ME!
