I seriously think a magic ‘switch’ flipped in our triplets on their birthday. The ‘terrible two’s’ have officially arrived at our house! We never experienced anything like this with our 2 older boys. With them, the 3’s were much harder than the 2’s, and even then it was nothing like this. There is definitely strength in numbers! These boys are too smart for their own good! This blog is going to get comical over the coming months…
Just DAYS after the trio celebrated their 2nd birthday, I exited the shower only to hear a party going on down the hall. I was greeted at the door like this:
Liam is holding the cap to what was once a brand new tube of diaper cream. Per poison control, it is not toxic…. wipe out their mouth & give them a drink… worst case = nasty diaper. I have NO idea where he got the softball.
More diaper cream…. not so easy to get up off the floor, but this is yet another reason why I despise carpet!
I have no words…
Nice…
Funny, while I was cleaning the room up they were actually climbing back IN the cribs, alternating between the 3 all around the room. Lots of giggling… you couldn’t help but laugh with them.
Yes, in fact that IS a tape measure in Luke’s hand. I think it was in the nightstand drawer from when we were hanging pictures…
Both of these sweet little cherubs decided to spring their cribs instead of napping. Of note, Aidan is not in any of these pics. He learned to climb out of his crib a few weeks back and has since been taking his nap on our bed. After this event, there was no turning back. Each day I put them in the cribs for nap, and each day out they came, shrieking and squealing all the way. We went FIVE days with no naps. The kicker came the next Saturday morning when I was awaken (at 5AM) by this same squealing, only to find them playing in the toilet in their bathroom. Something HAD to be done. What, you ask?
Meet my new saving grace, the Tots in Mind Cozy Crib Tent II. Not only does this thing keep them inside, it also has mesh sides so they can’t toss their pacis, etc., out.
Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined I would do this, but hey, we’re winging it over here!!! Luke & Liam are doing fantastic in their tents. They screamed bloody murder in fear the first time (and only for a few minutes), but since then we’ve had no problems. They are sleeping through the night and waking up happy, for the first time in months! Aidan, on the other hand…. well, he’s a bit on the spoiled side and is working the system. 2 out of 3 ain’t bad for now!
