So… I decided to jump on the bandwagon and try out this Blog thing. Just what I need… another computer addiction!!! I don’t know how it will go, or how good I’ll be at it, but if you care to join me I’ll give it my best shot.
What’s new at the Pannek house? Noah & Eli are out of school on track break right now, and don’t go back until February 17th. (For those of you that may not know, our move to Vegas was accompanied by a move to a year-round school.) I’ve been home with all 5 boys for a couple of weeks now, and we’re all starting to get a little crazy (“er” in my case). We are planning a quick road trip next week to California… probably the San Diego area (more details on that to follow, as they develop).
Luke, Aidan, & Liam are growing like weeds and seem to be learning new things every day. Aidan started taking steps last week and is getting pretty good at it now. Luke has learned to push the walker around, and Liam is slowly dragging up the rear. He’s trying hard to push the walker, but he’s much better on his knees at this point. We call him “Turbo” because he can crawl like lightning! They are into everything right now. We’re constantly trying to outsmart them with gates and cabinet locks, but just as we do they find something else. Just this morning I used my vacuum to suck what was left of the Spanish moss from the ficus tree.
Matt’s been working more hours lately, but has managed to come home most nights in time to put the babies to bed. They get so excited when they see him now, it’s really sweet. Liam actually squeals with excitement. We are enjoying being together as a family again after so many months apart. Our latest family pasttime has been watching American Idol. Noah & Eli are very excited that it is Hollywood week. Eli is disappointed that Chris Daughtry isn’t on the show anymore, but hopefully he will find anther favorite!
As for me, I’m going out to dinner tonight with 9 other triplet moms. Believe it or not there are 23 of us in the Vegas area. I am looking forward to getting out of the house for a little girl time! I’ve managed to meet quite a few ladies here. Yes, they all have multiple children, but hey – that’s my world!
I’m going to attempt to post a video of Aidan’s first steps as well as some pictures we took in the neighborhood park yesterday. They weather has been absolutely beautiful here, so we took advantage of it and went for a walk. The babies loved being outside, but Luke (as you will see from the pics) did NOT want his shoes on. The pics aren’t great… I couldn’t get them all to look at me at the same time… but you’ll get the idea.
Aidan’s first steps:
Till tomorrow!
