Last weekend N&E made a whirl-wind road trip with their daddy. They literally spent two full days in the car, but had a blast. I stayed home with the littles, and might I add things were SO QUIET, lol!!! This week marked the beginning of spring break here…. and our year-round school celebrates by giving the kiddos THREE weeks off instead of the typical ONE week. Nice that it’s around Easter, but needless to say my weekend of solitude is OVER. Everyone is still alive so far… that’s saying something.
Here’s a shot that Matt sent me from the road. He took it with his phone. Those are not clouds… that is SNOW! (I have no idea where this was taken… somewhere in AZ or NM, I think…) My boys haven’t seen SNOW in a long, long, time. In fact, other than the freak-of-nature snow storm we had in Vegas shortly after we moved there, it had been years… definitely no accumulation. Of course this year our home state of Texas has had record snowfall… go figure. They were obviously not prepared…. but they had to jump out of the car for a bit for a quick photo-op. They are dressed for Cali weather… shorts and short-sleeved t-shirts. At least Noah had on a wind-breaker! They’re boys… they don’t care.
We still have 2 more weeks out of school… wish me (and THEM) luck!!!
We’re gearing up for a visit from the Easter bunny here at our house. I’m not at all prepared, so I’d better get ‘hoppin’… (haha). Hope you all have a Happy Easter!!!
