My boys are not wanting to sit in their high chairs anymore. We transitioned out of our baby high chairs with trays, and now have the restaurant-style wooden ones. They do pull up to the table, which was the idea. Yet, since we are now in a smaller house, and have nowhere to store the unused dining chairs, I keep the high chairs stacked in the corner until we are ready to use them (well, in theory, anyway…). I really need to MAKE them sit in them, because they ALWAYS end up on TOP of the table by the end of the meal.
Yes, I am the parent, as my husband would gently remind me. However, usually by the time I have their meal plated up, they are sitting ever-so-sweetly at the dining table… in the ‘adult’ chairs. Each time I give them the benefit of the doubt, hoping that just ONCE, they will resist the temptation to swing from the chandelier (not kidding, unfortunately…), finger paint, feed the dogs, throw food AT the dogs, etc..
Not today…
Who needs plates anyway….. when you have this?
Crazy Boys!!! Maybe I’ll break out those high chairs at dinner….
