Halloween was so much fun! This is the first year that the littles actually went up to the doors. Our 3 little monkeys, skeleton, & scream, all had a ball! Aidan was the only one of the littles that actually learned to say “trick-or-treat”, but all of them managed to say “thank-you”… most of the time, at least. Our neighborhood was a bit lame in the Halloween participation department. There were two homes (including ours) on our street that actually handed out candy. How strange is that??? I had a feeling that was going to be the case, so I didn’t feel bad at all about leaving the candy on a small table out front. Besides, both Matt & I wanted to see the littles in action, along side N&E. The street opposite ours had 5-6 homes participating, and they had lots of fun decorations up, so all was not lost.
In the end, we had to walk a bit more than planned (thank goodness for the choo-choo… but boy is it heavy with 100lbs of toddlers in it on hills!) We ended up with PLENTY of candy, regardless. Besides, I’m the one that ends up eating most of it! The good stuff, at least. Liam caught on real quick that they were putting candy in his pumpkin. He ate non-stop after the first house. Our choo-choo wagon was littered with all sorts of wrappers & sticky goodies when all was said and done. And… would you believe that the large bowl of candy I left out was still full??? Crazy.
Hope everyone enjoyed Halloween! Our neighborhood is already decorated for Christmas. Tis the season!
