On Thursday I decided to be ‘brave’ and take the littles out to play at a park by myself. We found a fully-fenced, toddler-friendly park close by… so why not give it a try!? We dropped the big boys off at school, hit Starbucks for my non-fat caramel macchiato and 3 mini vanilla scones (of course), then set off on our journey. We arrived at the park around 8:45 and we had it all to ourselves. This particular park is right next to a middle school, so the trio really loved watching all of the buses come and go. They are fascinated with buses for some reason. ‘BUS’ is one of the words they have mastered. (My car becomes complete mayhem whenever they spot one… and unfortunately almost every large truck, etc., is a BUS right now.)
We had cookies and juice, played in the bushes (!@#%@), threw our sippies from the top of the playground, chased giant birds, covered ourselves with wood chips, and watched airplanes… for over 2 1/2 hours!!! One family brought their 3 children to play for about 30 minutes, but other than that we had the entire park all to ourselves. So much fun!
