Remember yesterday how I said my boys found alternate uses for just about everything? I’m starting to think it’s just a ‘boy’ thing. Just look at this ‘tent’ Noah & Eli made. What you don’t see, is that the supports for this incredible structure have come straight out of the utility closet. See those peaks? Those are a combination of mops, brooms, and swiffer sticks. I think there may be a light sabor or two sprinkled in as well.
The picture really doesn’t do it justice. This thing was huge… even had multiple ‘rooms’ as they called them. Would you believe Eli even slept in this thing one night??? I disassembled it yesterday and I kid you not, I folded 26 blankets of varying sizes and 2 king sized sheets. There were 4 barstools in there too. Crazy!
Here are a few more shots to further illustrate my point. This first one is the pantry. Note there is no food on these shelves for a reason… I’ll let you use your imagination to figure out why.
Who needs a toybox, anyway?
This is where I would put my trucks, if I were a boy…
They are also very ‘linear’… everything in straight lines these days. Noah used to do this when he was little too…
Indoors & out…
It’s contagious…
And this is DEFINITELY a boy thing…. I have no idea where they get this…
And the patio furniture cushions….

April 9, 2010 at 7:44 pmMichelle, I so enjoy reading your blog about life with the five boys. And I love finding the delicious recipes! Can't help but notice that already in 2010, you've posted more blog entries than in all of 2009! Must be that the littles are older now so you have more free time on your hands. (Ha ha!) Looking forward to many more interesting blogs. K.H.
