I never have gotten around to posting N&E’s ‘stat’s’ from their checkups… better late than never, right???
Noah:
10-Years Old (HOW did that happen???)
70.6lbs (60%) Soaking wet….
58 1/2 in (95%)
Elijah:
7-Years Old (Equally scary)
55.4lbs (60%)
49 1/4 in (75%)
They are both healthy as ever. We are going to schedule an appointment to take E to the ENT to check out his ‘GIANT’ tonsils. They don’t seem to give him much trouble in the way of illnesses, etc., but they are super-sized and the pedi says they will continue to grow as he grows for a few more years. I’ve always thought his tonsils looked huge, but I’ve never had a pedi (until now) even bring it up. He does SNORE…. Noah can vouch for that! Noah was given his annual lecture about how important fruits & vegetables are to our bodies… chips are made from corn, right?
It’s funny to me that they are both in the 60% range for weight. They are built COMPLETELY different. Noah is extra tall and super-skinny, whereas Eli is closer to average height and solid as a rock. Noah is our milk drinker and eats very little outside of the buttered pasta, PB&J, and the SUGAR/JUNK food groups. Eli drinks juice and will eat most anything, but has a tendency to eat pizza EVERY DAY for lunch at school. (Why they have pizza available every day in elementary school is beyond me). They were both very pleased that there were no SHOTS involved. E had his booster for the H1N1, but thankfully it was the nasal mist version. I am SO glad our new pedi office had this vaccine in the office. We had to stand in line at the health department in NV for the first dose and I certainly didn’t want to experience THAT again…. you know…. GERMS!!!
I can’t leave this post without a funny pic of the trio. I found them like this behind the firescreen yesterday. Liam is our resident stripper. His brothers follow his lead when they hear him laughing at himself. Look how much taller he is than Aidan & Luke!

February 11, 2010 at 3:59 amHey I have a resident stripper and the other two follow suit aswell. Your two older boys are very handsom young men. My boys eat pizza waaaaay too often at school. I was happy to hear that I am not the only Mom that lets their kids eat school lunches. Please tell me your boys eat them more often then just on occasion. I often feel like such a failure that i am not packing super healthy lunches but I just don't have my bleep together to pack linches on a regular basis.
OK I am rambling. BTW still loving your blog :o)

February 11, 2010 at 4:12 amLOL…. ummmmm…. Eli buys his lunch EVERY day and I'm quite sure (even if it is pizza) he is getting more nutrition than I would pack myself!!! At least he gets milk (albeit chocolate) and fruit. Noah has the same uncrustable PB&J, chips, fruit & a dessert of some sort every day. He buys milk, but is afraid to step outside of his box to try anything the school serves. Failure? NOT!!! Gotta pick your battles mamma! You're awesome! 🙂
