My saving grace! The pool fence man finally made it out to install our fence around the pool. Finally, I can take the babies outside to play.
He couldn’t have come at a better time. Over the last few weeks we have been gearing up for summer around here. We just laid a section of astro turf in the back yard (the city does not allow real grass here). Prior to this we had rocks, which is very common in Vegas. Morrie had learned to tolerate the rocks, but the babies would never have been able to walk on them. It turned out great!
Even Morrie loves it! (I have no idea where Eli’s shirt was in this picture…)
We have also been looking at getting the babies something to climb on to hopefully give them a place to get their climbing fix, other than on my coffee table. (Matt keeps saying we are going to have to move the coffee table out of the room, but at this rate the room will be empty by June). After researching all the climbers out there, we decided to get one that they will be able to play on for awhile. The one we finally decided on is recommended up to age six.
Our new Club House!!!
All 5 boys love playing on it. I’m sure the big boys will get bored of it after awhile, especially Noah, but for now it’s something ‘new’ and it’s loads of fun. They little ones still require supervision when they are playing on it. They seem to be getting the hang of climbing up the climbing wall, but can’t do the slide by themselves. I’m still scared that they will fall out of the openings so we have been keeping someone on ‘guard’ on both ends until they get their bearings. I’m sure it won’t be long!
They all love looking out the window….
The tunnel is loads of fun too….
Here are a few more shots from our morning play time. Liam decided he wanted to pretend to be Darth Vader instead of playing in the clubhouse…
Somebody took his light saber and he was not happy about it!!!
Aidan & Luke decided to ‘mow’ the lawn…
And we STILL have a climbing problem……. 🙂

May 8, 2009 at 1:51 amYeah they never really get their climbing fix! we have a play room that had a couch and a toy box and now there is nothing in that room for the safety of the “safari” and the sanity of me. The fort looks great.

May 26, 2009 at 8:14 pmWe have the same club house and picnic table! I guess great minds think alike. We kept the club house in the playroom so that we could use it year round (we are in KY) and the picnic table is in opur kitchen. i know no classy house here. We are fortunate enough to have the space to put it all inside.
I LOOOOOOVE the pics. The boys seem to love it as much as my kidies do! If you are ever on my blog you will have to go back a few post to see our club house in our living room/play room it is quite HYSTERICAL!
